Tis the season for holiday fun and a crazy mom obsessed with pinterest and photo prop ideas. Since I bought some pumpkins but never had time to carve them out in October I decided this month is not going to get away from me so I've been determined to make it happen. The only problem I ran into was that they will not smile when I have a camera in my face or they tear down my prop.
Dax now has his second tooth and Blake's is barely breaking through so we are surviving teething.
9 Month Check Up 11-30-11:
Our itty bitty Blake is a whopping 15 pounds 5 ounces and has made it to the 8th percentile. She is measuring 251/2 inches joining the 1st percentile (she has made the charts--whoot whoot hollar back ya'll) with a head circumference of 16 3/4 in the 17th percentile. She has come a long way.
Our "big guy" Dax is weighing in at 19 pounds 8 ounces and is in the 47th percentile. He is measuring 28 inches in the 34th percentile and has a head circumference of 171/4 inches in the 17th percentile.
Wet Cat Food:
Meat baby food is the death of me. As stated in the past I have the nose of a dog and can smell lot's of unpleasant things very easily. AKA dirty hair-the absolute worst. Associating things to pasts experiences with smell is another problem I have. When I was a child my mother would make the no bake cookies. I spent the day going in and out of the fridge grabbing my no bakes and shoving them in my mouth. At the time she had her cat that was like her child. This stupid cat ate wet cat food which by the way is the worst smelling stuff on earth. On a certain day that cat decided not to eat his food so my mother put the leftovers in the fridge next to my no bakes. Going about my business of grabbing my no bakes I grabbed cat food by mistake and to this day can't stand to look at no bakes and the smell of wet cat food does a number on me. Now 20 plus years later I'm giving my babies meat baby food and that memory is coming back. I was strongly advised that it was important for them to eat the "cat food". My response was I don't know if I can handle it, the smell ewe. The docs response, it's really important and mentioned it multiple times so I'm now giving my kids "cat food".
12-11-11
I put Blake down for tummy time and she started doing this bear crawl thing where she was on both feet and hands and then she would go back to her stomach giggle and inch like a caterpillar. It was hillarious. My plan is to catch this on video. She thought it was so funny and I was cracking up watching her. Later she started rolling all over the place giggling at her new trick. When I say rolling I'm talking all over the place. They have this toy that makes noise whenever you touch it so she would roll into it, roll back and then roll at it again so it would go off. Then she would look back at you and giggle at her new accomplishment.
Christmas Eve we went to mom and dad's house to celebrate and the kids loved every moment. They loved the lights, the gifts, the cameras, and all the action. Christmas morning everyone came to our house to watch them see what Santa brought. They were so cute checking everything out and opening more gifts. Christmas day we celebrated even more and had more fun with everyone. By this time they were spent and would not nap or sleep while we went to the Thunder game. They gave their grandpa a run for his money. Since Christmas we make both apologize to their grandpa every time they see him.
Both love stuffed animals and love their little blankets up close to their faces. They are both rolling all over the house. Dax discovered the Christmas tree and has found that to be his favorite place to roll to. They love paper and tearing it up so they really loved Christmas. As of 12-27 both have two bottom teeth. They are now making life outside the house easier on us. We are finally taking them out and they are doing wonderful in their "germ free" high chair covers. I knoooooow, I'm a freak.
