Combo of 8 and  9 months in one.....

In our 8th month we moved into our new home so it was a full month including adding all the snow and the holidays so I decided I would put together a list of all the quotes I hear on a daily basis.

Disclaimer: No Judgement here, if you can't find the humor then stop here...

They always say that kids say the "darnest things" well I believe just that. They pick up on so much that they hear and repeat like little parakeets. Some good and some bad.

Since moving into the new home to date we have had 2 mice encounters, multiple deer encounters, a roadrunner literally running out of our garage, owls hooing outside our window, and the worst of the worst a snake. Anyone who knows me knows that snakes are my biggest fear. We were in the backyard and the kids were messing with the outlet box and I looked down and saw a snake hissing and attempting a strike at Blakes ankle. Mother of the year over here took off to the front leaving my kids with the contractor and the snake. I'm in the driveway hyperventilating as he brings the kids peacefully to the front. The snake is killed and we realize it's a baby copperhead attempting a strike in cold weather. What? yes, cold weather....

Richard-"Who's scared of snakes?- "mommy scared of names, she run real fast"-Blake

"No Richard, I've got it"-Blake
"I want to be naked please"-Blake

Me-"Sit down Dax (referring to going down the stairs)"-"No I have poop, I can't sit"-Dax
"Oh shit it's broke"-Dax
"I want cock!" Me-"what?" "cocks I want them"-Blake talking about socks
Me-What are these? "Big cocks"-Blake
(Fighting nicely-have I mentioned that's all they do?) "Excuse me please get out of my spot. please go see mommy for time out"-Dax
"Blake if you don't stop screaming the dump truck is going to pick you up"-Dax (I swear this is all him)

The month of December flew by, we had Penguin Ryder (our elf) visit daily. Some days he forgot to take flight to a new location, actually that happened quite a bit. We added an Advent calendar to our month and each day after naps Peguin Ryder would leave a treat so that was lots of fun. We decorated cookies with our friends, made ornaments, and went to the Devon Saturday with Santa where they saw live reindeer. The kids saw Frozen and absolutely loved it. Every Santa encounter we had they actually talked to him and asked for cars. Well to their surprise Santa made their wishes come true and delivered them a great Christmas. Santa put new cups in their cars that looked very much like coffee cups and when Dax saw it for the first time he said "hey mom look, santa brought me a coffee cup".
Santa surprised the kids at my parents house. Thank you Joe Lester!

Paige loves the Biebs

Paige was sick for the entire month and we are finally getting out of it. Even as sick as she was with her head cold that baby was such a delight to be around. She is just the happiest baby. She is pulling up, into everything, eating cheerios, and loves green beans. She loves to wrestle down her brother and sister. Both are finally so sweet to her. Blake loves to kiss and hug on her and Dax is so kind to his baby and always is so gentle with her.

Paige weighs 17 pounds 3oz in the 27th percentile and is in the 2nd percentile for height at a whopping 26 inches, we even double checked it and think she was measured to long last time. Yes that is half an inch shorter than last month. My sweet little Paige now has 6 teeth, 4 on top and 2 on bottom.

10-25-13--7 Months

"Silly baby that's not food...."

Common phrases in our home:
Silly baby that's not food, No Paige don't eat it, Mom Paige is eating my hair, Owie no Paige don't touch me...obviously we have a teething baby in our house and Blake and Dax find it necessary to point out everything.

Paige is sitting up, rolling over and working on her crawling. She's almost there and I keep telling Blake and Dax to make sure not to let her play with little toys so they always take her toys away from her say she might choke. She is such a joy to be around and just giggles, smiles, coos, and throws out the best smile.

"Mom Dax hurt me, Owie!, (What happened?) Dax touched me" Are you dying? No" This is the number one phrase daily and then there is this one. Mooooom I don't like that one, no that one, not that one. Do you want the red or the blue socks? Red (start putting on the red) Nooooo I want the blue ones" Life of two 2 year olds who feed off of everything. My personal favorite: "Mom I want Starbucks!" (a true sign of our coffee times) So with all of the fuss/stress we decided to take a weekly parenting class called Love and Logic. It teaches parents how to solve the problems of toddler behavior and understand our little ones better. I highly recommend it and I do feel like it has helped with some of the issues however if we could make Dax man sleep past 5AM and not wake our entire house up I would be greatly appreciative of any parenting advise out there.

This is my favorite time of the year as I do love Halloween and the weather that comes along with October. This month was extra special because we baptized all three children. They did wonderful and overall it was great day. Blake was a cupcake girl and Dax chose spiderman. Paige was our little ladybug. We went to the Trails Fall Festival, had costume parties at ballet, school, and Halloween trick or treating where Kenny Powers made an appearance (he had time off from his tv show where he is a super star)

And the ladybug slept through it all....

The children's baptism, what a special day it was for our family. All three did not cry in addition we committed ourselves to raise them in a home where they will know God.

Showing off their pumpkins we made. Notice I told them to make silly faces then I told them they would get treats for smiles and you will see a difference in the photos. Never fails a little bribery goes a long way.
